The green hall of Vienna

Welcome to the Purkersdorf Nature Park

The Purkersdorf Nature Park is located in a protected area of the "Wienerwald" on the western outskirts of Vienna. A visit in spring is particularly worthwhile because of the wonderful scent of wild garlic. In summer the old beech forests form hall-like, shady stands, so that it is always pleasantly cool and the air smells intensely of the green of the leaves after a rain shower. Autumn beckons with its colorful play of colors when the leaf discoloration of maple or red beech turns the forest into different shades of yellow. In winter you can follow the animal tracks in the snow and roam the white glittering forest.
